Company History

O.R. Nurses, Inc. was founded in July, 1988 by Carol Paterson, RN, who had a vision for excellence in the temporary perioperative specialty staffing business. Denise G. Burnett, RN, BSN, caught the vision and joined the company shortly thereafter, staffing the first shift on August 1, 1988.

On August 16, 1990 Carol Paterson died after a 13-month battle with ovarian cancer. She did, however, get to see her dream of O.R. Nurses, Inc. become a reality as it developed into a viable company. She would be proud to see how we have grown in size and excellence over the years!

The Travel Division was established in 1998 when an employee had to relocate to another city. Disappointed to be leaving the employment of O.R. Nurses, Inc. she was given the opportunity to be the first traveler. The Travel Division has been growing ever since and is obtaining new opportunities daily.
